Yes, it is a fandom of perfume. Really good perfume, we're told, with gothy and pretentious descriptions. The perfume is expensive, rare, often discontinued, and slow to be delivered; thus fans trade and sell samples and unfinished bottles. Furthermore, each scent smells different on each person, and the forums are devoted to analysis of these differences. All this equals wank, big time. (Usually followed by the "WTF" of wankas new to this "perfume fandom" idea.)
