Bishounen

Bishounen, aka "bishies": Anime's answer to teen idols, the term usually refers to pretty, willowy men with long hair and big eyes. But over time, the definition has become a bit looser; characters such as Chichiri from Fushigi Yuugi and Carrot from Sorcerer Hunters have been referred to as bishounen.

Bishounen are frequently slashed with each other and worshipped by fangirls. Rabid slashers will even go out of their way to bash the female characters associated with their bishounen of choice, as will the fangirls who literally fall in love with them.
