Published YA fantasy author and HP fan Holly Black was engaged to speak at the Autumn 2005 Harry Potter fandom convention, The Witching Hour, in Salem, MA. She asked for two guest passes: one for her husband, and one, it turned out, for her friend Cassandra Claire.
When Unanon, one of the convention organizers, found out who Holly Black's other guest was, she publicly ranted on her LJ.
