Clay Aiken is a well-known pop singer who won narrowly got runner-up in American Idol season 2.[1] His fans, generally known as "Claymates", were quite wanky when he won lost, shortly after FW's rebirth on Journalfen.[2]

Although it never reached the heights of LOTR Domlijah mania, there was also a group of tinhats who believed Clay Aiken was in a secret gay relationship with American Idol host Ryan Seacrest. One of these tinhats, a BNF called Sexystace, gave birth to Quite Literally the Mother of All Clay Aiken Wanks when, after she had thrown a Clay/Ryan-related tantrum in an LJ community, she was seemingly so upset at the criticism her post received that the shock caused her to go into labour. Oh yes.

Aiken officially came out in September 2008, surprising no-one. Well, except for a few Claymates in serious denial...
