A slang term for reference to crack cocaine, a cheap and powerful narcotic.
In fandom, "crack" is used to describe:
- Things that are as addictive despite their negative qualities as crack (e.g., "Mothra twincest fic is my crack.")
- Things that are as ridiculous or crazy as someone who has smoked a great deal of crack. (e.g., "The Squid/Hogwarts is a crack pairing").
Literal reference to crack in fandom is rare, since excessive use could make you dead from coke. Just say no, kids. Wank is our anti-drug.
