Lj-cut
From Fandom wank wiki
An lj-cut is a tag used on LiveJournal, JournalFen, and similar journaling systems. Its purpose is to keep obnoxiously long entries, large graphics, memes, potential spoilers, or indiscreet content off the unsuspecting friends list by placing aforementioned materials behind a link.
One must realize, this is very serious business. Failure to use an lj-cut in appropriate circumstances may result in scoldings. Failure to use one in vital circumstances may result in wank. The former is typically done by newbies; the latter may also be, or it may be done by trolls.
Oh, no!, you cry, how may I avoid looking like a wanker? Well, it's simple: just type <lj-cut> before your text, to result in a (Read more...) link (don't forget to include the closing tag </lj-cut> at the end of the cut). Or you can get fancy, and type <lj-cut text="your cut text"> for different linking text. (Yes, even on JF, you still use "lj".)
