Daily Snitch and Quick Quote

The Daily Snitch is a Livejournal newsletter in the Harry Potter fandom which links to posts, essays, rants, fic challenges, recs and other things concerning Harry Potter. The editors do not link to fandom fights, so if you want the latest on who's defriended whom, you're out of luck, but inevitably, the Daily Snitch causes a great deal of wank, when its readers follow a link to a part of the fandom they'd never otherwise have known existed, and don't like what they see there.
Its history, however, is not so tame. The Daily Snitch was not the first HP newsletter. That honour belongs to Quick Quote, which was the brainchild of little_needle (December 2003). She quickly brought a few people on board to help her with the newsletter, including Isiscolo. When Isiscolo quit Quick Quote in May 2004 and started her own newsletter: The Daily Snitch, there were suspicions of behind-the-scenes wank, but that's where they stayed.
For about month, that is, until little_needle decided to bitch about Isiscolo to a few hundred of her closest friends, Isiscolo got to hear about it, and it was off to the races.
