From Fandom wank wiki
Instructions
This is hardly a full scale wiki and it's very much in the spirit of the original Fandom Wank so there shouldn't be much call for article deletions. However, there are always a few exceptions.
To request the deletion of a page, please follow these steps:
- Put this tag at the top of the page: {{baleet}}
- Add the page to the section below in this format:
- === [[Page name]] ===

- Sign it.
Everyone commenting should put Delete or Keep at the start. After a week a decision will be made.

Delete, and here's why:
F_W: Let's write a wank on a person who can't respond on F_W, absolving ourselves of all of our wrongdoing while simultaneously painting SF in the worst possible light, and tossing in a few lies that we can't even prove!
The world: YAAAY!
(time passes)
Me: Hmm...this is a lot of bullshit. Here are some links refuting there. And here, and here and here...oh, and here are a few screencaps.
F_W: WAAAAAH! REVERT BACK! OMGTROLLWAHWAHSOCKPUPPETWAHYOUMUSTBESTORMFREAK!!!111
Me: Whatever. You're still lying.
(this continues forever)
F_W: Fine, here's our article. T'is good?
Me: T'is good.
F_W: T'is fair?
Me: Sure.
(days pass)
F_W: Is she gone? Good! Let's get back to the bullshit!
Low. Even by F_W standards. Zinkshipper, A*K*A Stormfreak, A*K*A Easter Bunny, A*K*A Sockpuppet Extraordinaire 04:25, 2 February 2006 (GMT)
Delete. Ooh, can I be sockpuppet number two? Because I find something disturbing about writing two articles about someone, then locking them once certain myths have been disproven, then having both sides agree to an edit, then having said edit reversed because...why was that edit reversed again? And was that before or after a FW mod went out of her way to mention SF on FW (making an entire post dedicated to her with the sole purpose of an open pile-on as a matter of fact)? So much for good faith. I understand that articles here are going to be heavily slanted in FW's favor, but some of this stuff doesn't even make SENSE.
Yup, it begins again. And I assume it will never end. ChristieLove 03:54, 19 April 2006 (BST)
Atanielle
Delete. Whilst she certainly behaved in a wanky manner, there are plenty of other wankas who have been equally irritating and widely loathed over the years. Creating pages to insult each of them would be hugely wanky. This is an issue of precedent, but also a personal feeling of ickyness. --Hinkeh 21:27, 24 November 2005 (GMT)
- Well, I haven't been active on F_W enough in the past to see whether she is really one of the 'big ones'. I assumed so from how often she showed up after HBP was released and from the time she deleted her JF account. She was mentioned and linked to really often in that time.
Also, I could be really wrong with that, but I do believe she spawned some quotes. Can't say which ones which was why I didn't put any links into the entry, only made it so that other people with more knowledge about her could fill it. *shrugs* Delete at will of other members, I guess :) Eilan 21:43, 24 November 2005 (GMT)
I would say that while plenty of wankas have been know to wank, unless their wankage spawns an 'event', i.e. mass-wank, bannination, cabal dogpile, then they don't deserve their own entry as wank. The wank they brought upon themselves could certainly be immortalised. Apoplexia 23:45, 24 November 2005 (GMT+1)
I think that's a good policy, Apoplexia. --Narcissam 22:50, 24 November 2005 (GMT)
Delete. Not to mention she didn't even delete her damned JF. Which, after doing the goodbye cruel wank thing, is kinda wanky, but not wanky enough to make anyone care. -- Wankprophet
Delete. I'd support putting something on the Frequent Phrases page, maybe? "Everything I know about Ataniell I learned from Fandom_Wank" since we have it iconned, but I don't know that she needs her own page. -- Avocado
Delete. Even with the TMI, I don't think she deserves her own page, but if you have to, can you at least spell her name right? No "e" on the end. Snacky
DELETE. If we're gonna talk about people who have deleted, threatened to delete, or deleted and reinstated their journalfen accounts, there's gonna be a lot more up there than needs to be. I vote that we baleet this, and just keep her in the famous phrases. Notjo
Baleet. Because there's really nothing to say on the issue. Thephotoman 22:26, 27 November 2005 (GMT)
Deleted. May it rest in peace. --Hinkeh 23:28, 1 December 2005 (GMT)
Spoiler
Merge. Seems a bit of repeat (of Rann's a GUY!?!), is that too anal? Can they co-exist in an uneasy truce? You decide. --Hinkeh 23:30, 1 December 2005 (GMT)
- I'd just put stick Rann's a GUY!?! into Spoiler, not the other way around. But that's just me. Spoiler is more likely to be linked to by other articles concerning spoiler-related wank. - Jim Smith
- Yes, I created the spoiler page as a link from a spoiler-related wank page. (No wank went into the making of this wiki. None! And don't even look for the shipping war wank on the Harry/Hermione talk page. It certainly doesn't exist!) --Narcissam 01:19, 2 December 2005 (GMT)
- I'd be more inclined to rewrite the spoiler page. I like the Rann's a GUY!?! page. I think the spoiler page could still be funny without essentially being a list of potential spoilers. -- Avocado 01:27, 2 December 2005 (GMT)
New version kept. -- Avocado 21:09, 8 May 2006 (BST)
Won't you think of the children!?!
Merge. Although it's pretty much merged with Won't somebody PLEASE think of the CHILDREN!? already. Some discussion here: Talk:Won't you think of the children!?! --Mindset 18:51, 7 December 2005 (GMT)
Well, the joke is still pretty funny. Perhaps it'd be a good idea just to tag a 'See Also - Won't somebody PLEASE think of the CHILDREN!?' to the end, and save ourselves the bother of the rather arguable moral stance in killing a page. --Firefly99
Or we could just, y'know, redirect. -Mcity 03:04, 9 July 2006 (BST)
Redirect. Save some hassle. -SabineLaGrande 02:43, 7 November 2006 (GMT)
Redirected. At a year on the deletion request page, might as well do something -- Avocado 19:53, 1 December 2006 (GMT)
Okay, so, why are we redirecting something for which no one will never need the redirect? Deleted. -- Avocado 20:09, 26 April 2007 (BST)
TL;DR vs tl;dr...
Well, one must live, and one must die. They're both pretty much identical as it is, so perhaps a Merge is the way to go. I'd keep tl;dr myself, because that seems to be linked more, and change TL;DR to a redirect. But that's just me. What are your thoughts on yaoi? Firefly99
- Why must one live and one die? One's a redirect to the other for the sake of convenience. We have lots of those. -- Avocado 21:51, 23 June 2006 (BST)
- Oh. Damn. My mistake. I'll take off the baleet tag and just pretend I wasn't stupid enough to mess it up.... Firefly99
Aeristhhtsytshtshthtshtshtsdhygbxhfgbmnvbgchfgfttl;dr, Complication
I was going to redirect these to Final Fantasy VII (in accordance with the discussion on the talk page), but can we just delete the pages? I don't think we're likely to need the redirects. -- Avocado 20:06, 27 June 2006 (BST)
- Personally, I say delete it all, and incorporate it into the FFVII page (if necessary, although, again, I don't think it is. We don't need character guides to every fandom that gets wanked, as the characters are not the point).--Snacky 20:20, 27 June 2006 (BST)
- I've trimmed down to four characters on the FFVII page (Cloud, Aeris, Tifa, and Sephiroth) and cut most of the content. I'm happy to let others hack at the content as necessary. I've redirected Cloud, Aeris, Tifa, Cait Sith, and Sephiroth for now in case someone wants to edit in some of the other content from those pages. (If I delete them, that's gone.) Barrett Wallace's page can probably also be deleted rather than redirected. -- Avocado 20:40, 27 June 2006 (BST)
- Cool, that works.--Snacky 20:56, 27 June 2006 (BST)
- After stepping back and looking at it again, it seemed to me that the character profiles were just repetitions of the content at the top, so I've cut them out entirely. It was one or the other, and I think the main article content covers why those four characters are of interest well enough. -- Avocado 21:02, 27 June 2006 (BST)
- Actually, I'd bring them back just for the snark. Plus, if HP can have its character descriptions, surely FF7 can? And if the LOTR section of the wiki ever gets developed no doubt it'll need some description of Frodo just as context... --Mindset 22:15, 27 June 2006 (BST)
- Hmm. Well, you're welcome to hack at the article as you see fit. (In fact, please do.) -- Avocado 01:15, 28 June 2006 (BST)

- Plus, if HP can have its character descriptions, surely FF7 can?
- The reason the HP article has character descriptions (or at least I thought so) is that each of those characters has had been the focal point of wank. It's convenient to look at the section on, say, Hermione and get something of a cross-section of Hermione wanks. I could write something up on Horace Slughorn that would be funny (omg he's fat~!), but there's never any Slughorn wank so it'd be irrelevant here.
- I think the most logical path with FF7 would be to write articles about actual FF7 wanks, and having done so go back and write articles about characters and such that routinely come up in said wanks. Thanks to the wiki I've heard there's lots of Sepiroth wank, so it'd be nice to see some. --Jim Smith 02:22, 28 June 2006 (BST)
- I concur. Come on, someone find some Sephiroth wank, quickly! (After all, the section needs some padding now most of it is interded from crack.)- Firefly99
- I'm looking back through fandom_wank. I agree, in general, that only characters that either show up in wanks or are commonly referenced on fandom_wank deserve profiles. The problem with this (and with something like Slayers or especially Doctor Who, say) is that current wanks mention legendary wankery of yesteryear-- which, of course, predates fandom_wank. I'll see what I can find. -- Avocado 00:35, 7 July 2006 (BST)
Hearing no objections, I'm deleting these two. -- Avocado 16:21, 4 July 2006 (BST)
No one's used the content on the Cloud, Cait Sith, Barret, Aeris, or Tifa pages, and none of the redirects are in use. The Sephiroth redirect is used, so it can stay. The rest have been deleted. -- Avocado 20:09, 26 April 2007 (BST)
Snack, Snucius, and Snupin
Delete. These seem kind of redundant to me, since no wank seems to have occured regarding these topics, so they're just definitions making fun of the pairing names. It seems to me that they could probably be deleted or merged with the Harry Potter Pairing Names page, unless anyone has any wank to link regarding these. --The clansmen 08:24, 13 October 2006 (BST)
And I quickly look over them again to make sure I've got it right and notice that the Snack page apparently does have one wank linked to it. So unless that wank fits elsewhere, I guess that one could possibly be disregarded in the deletion request with the other two. --The clansmen 08:27, 13 October 2006 (BST)
- Half-and-half. I'd keep Snack, since it's funnier (and has the always fun "do not confuse with" sections), but the other two have no objection from me. I'd also add Snaco to the baleetion/merge list, while we're at it. --Mindset 19:30, 13 October 2006 (BST)
- Maybe just merge all the Snape ships (Snips?) into one article on Severus Snape, Slytherin Sex God. fernwithy 17:38, 14 October 2006 (BST)
Keep Snack: the "see also" section is fun and it has actual wank.
Undecided on Snucius, I like the Snokhart crack but it could easily be moved to the HP pairing name page.
Delete Snupin, unfunny and unwanky.
// Hexnut 06:55, 15 October 2006 (BST)
I gave this a week, and I suspect people are done weighing in. I went with what appeared to be the consensus here. Snupin, Snaco, and Snucius have been replaced with redirects to Harry Potter Pairing Names. The "Snockhart" crack which appeared on the Snucius page has been moved to the Pairing Names page. Snack has been retained; {{BALEET}} tag removed. -- Avocado 00:32, 21 October 2006 (BST)
General Cleanup
I'm not rushing to put baleet tags on the pages themselves, because they're empty or redirects. I'd like to clean out the following null articles which don't really need to be redirects. Nothing links to them, and nothing is likely to. They contain no content (except in some cases, the redirect itself): Lowercase and Centred, The patriarchy made me do it..., The Weasley Twins, Vi, Emacs. (Basically, these are the articles with content that was deleted entirely or moved to another article, and tend to be the "oops I shouldn't have made that page" pages.) Any objections? Anyone else aware of any others in the same category? -- Avocado 22:14, 25 October 2006 (BST)
- No objections here. Others of that type might possibly be found under Special:Shortpages or Special:Lonelypages. They don't include redirects, though. --Mindset 01:50, 26 October 2006 (BST)
Deleted this set. -- Avocado 20:07, 3 November 2006 (GMT)
- Religious-erotic obsession with horses fits the bill. It's kind of redundant, as the page it's linked from (Equus) made the same point that it did. --Reeve 01:49, 1 December 2006 (GMT)
- Yeah, I'm killing it. No complaints? Good. :) --Mindset 18:24, 31 January 2007 (GMT)
Invasive Masturbation and/or Lesbianism
This page is a bad idea. Major bad idea. It's the slippery slope, I tell you! Act now or the wiki will become otf_wank!
Ahem, more calmly, I'll note that the contributor is someone we've never heard of before, who seems interested in educating people via the wiki.
Talk:Invasive_Masturbation_and/or_Lesbianism has Puipui and Avocado's comments on it.
--Narcissam 23:07, 28 October 2006 (BST)

- More than that, there's already an article on the wank the quotes come from, IIRC. -- Avocado 00:10, 31 October 2006 (GMT)

- The only thing I can possibly think of is whatshisface, Ashley Ashes, but I think he's trans/genderconfused and certainly isn't the typical 4chan/SA shock image. --Mindset 00:58, 25 April 2007 (BST)
- Yeah, and even then, he's only remotely related to dickgirls. Definitely not enough of a link to warrant an entire page about them. --Harrylovesron 01:59, 25 April 2007 (BST)
- The only thing I can possibly think of is whatshisface, Ashley Ashes, but I think he's trans/genderconfused and certainly isn't the typical 4chan/SA shock image. --Mindset 00:58, 25 April 2007 (BST)

- Delete. IIRC it was redlinked via the 4chan article. I was going to unlink it (they're rarely if ever covered on FW) but the article got made before I had a chance. I may have edited it since that point, but the whole time I was going "wait, why is this here, anyway?" --Mindset 00:56, 25 April 2007 (BST)

Not Sep, Edit Fairy
Doing a bit of cleanup, and these are a tad redundant, sorry Sep. Combine them with the various user pages for those names, or just toss them? Or, they could be made into a recursion joke like the Dolemite and NPOV pages, but they're not really that much of an in-joke... --Mindset talk 01:21, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Poor Sep. They probably belong on the user pages, though. -- Avocado 17:46, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete. I put it there by accident, actually. I didn't realize that wasn't the userpage. DELETE THEM BOTH --Edit Fairy 19:30, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Merged with the existing user pages and deleted these articles. -- Avocado 01:48, 28 April 2008 (BST)

Again with the cleanup. These seem to be pages started by trolls to promote themselves and/or smear their enemies, and now only exist in greatly reduced state. If we don't delete them, they could be put in a "point and mock" category for other similar attempts, like Millyfan's, or other attempted blankings -- again, Millyfan, also Ginmar, Heidi, etc. But that might just be funny to a very small group of people, I dunno. --Mindset talk 01:21, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

- Dubs, Subtitles, and Licensed can probably all go. I think they're all already mentioned as wankfodder on the Anime page, so they're a bit redundant. Digimon and Gundam Wing might be salvageable, but I don't remember any Metal Gear Solid or AvP wanks in the past. And Everyone is just... silly o_O --Reeve 02:08, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
