Surely Harry Potter fandom could pause their drama long enough to join together and scribble a lightning-bolt scar on Rich Uncle Pennybags, right? Of course not.

May 15, 2003: Cygnus announced plans to customize a Monopoly game board with a Harry Potter fandom theme and bring it to Nimbus. His plan called for buying a Monopoly board from eBay (apparently that's the only way to get one in the United Kingdom), and replacing the names of the properties with those of popular fanfiction archvies. So he invited suggestions:

On a Monopoly board there are 22 coloured properties. On Fandomopoly these are replaced by 22 fanfiction archives. Big, respected archives, such as FA, SQ and RS will correspond to the most expensive properties. Smaller ‘niche’ archives (those that concentrate on one ship, or a small part of the fandom) will be the less expensive properties. ff.net, of course, will be the cheapest. :D (Or do you think it should be more expensive, given its size?) Personal archives like “Dracosgrrl’s fics” will not be allowed. So here’s how you can help! We need 22 fanfiction archives. We have the following: FictionAlley, Diagon Alley, Sugarquill, Restricted Section, Veelas inc., SnitchFiction, Potter Slash Archive, Gryffindor Tower, FanFiction.Net, Bit Of Imagination, Nox et Lumos, Family Affair, The Hidden Tower, Raspberry Swirl, Adult fanfiction.net, Snape Slash Fleet, Pumpkin Pie, Werewolf Registery, Guns’n’Handcuffs. Everybody basically thought this was a retarded fun idea. Well, except for the people at "Dracosgrrl's fics", probably. :(
Then RunechildUK (now davidjoates) commented on behalf of Gryffindor Tower:

As Gryffindor Tower had already been accused of harboring a racist member who trolled Fiction Alley, this did not go over well. Cygnus reported the situation to F_W, apparently believing the mere mention of the letters "G" and "T" would bring the funny.
The entire affair would probably be forgotten if not for being a footnote in CharlotteLennox's account of The Ms. Scribe Story. Apparently, this incident inspired Msscribe to frame Runechild as her own sockpuppet: Killiganhashope. Note comments from Msscribe (now dejaspirit) in the original post.
