First post:
- The first response to a post.
- The first post made by a user on a forum.
The first definition is common on journals with large friends lists, communities, and on websites like Slashdot, YTMND, or YouTube. In an effort to be the first one to reply, people will make a comment stating "first post" or "first!". It's sometimes considered a trolling technique. It's especially hilarious/inane when they end up being the 2nd, 5th, or 100th commenter.
Fandom Wank sees the second type much more often. It's relatively harmless, but nobody really cares about it, so don't bother telling us, or asking us to "use lube" or "be gentle". It was funny two years ago. Today, it's just tired and lame.
