House, short for House, M.D., is a show on FOX about an asshole doctor (played by Hugh Laurie) with a biting, sarcastic wit, and the pretty people who work for and with him that he could/should be sleeping with. There's some stuff about medicine in there, too, but try telling that to the batshit insane fans. Alternately, a house is a dwelling within which people live ~~and wank~~.

Much of the wank seems to start when someone has delusions that they can be as hilariously mean as House.

The Shipping Wars - The big line that divides the fandom is between the primary warring factions of the House/Cameron and House/Wilson shippers. House/Cameron seemed more likely to become canon due to the middle-aged male writers and creator David Shore admitting that they live vicariously through House, but Cameron left his staff at the end of the third season. Wilson is now dating the female equivalent of House, thus giving the House/Wilson shippers even more excuses to write thoughtful examinations of their characters. If you ship both of these couples or another couple entirely (or, God forbid, don't ship at all), chances are you're actually sane.

CAPSLOCKERS - A bizarre group of trolls, denizens of the community capslock_house. When Capslockers are in their natural habitat, or are not attempting to hide their trolling, THEY ALWAYS SPEAK ALL IN CAPS LIKE THIS. You may find that they will lay off the capslock key to disguise their trolling efforts, however. They are masters of sockpuppetry, and where you see Capslockers, expect to see NSFW icons, abuse of the H1 tag and marquee markups, huge and irrelevant pictures, and other things that make you seriously question your faith in humanity. In a cruel twist of fate, they are occasionally genuinely funny. [1] House/Wilson shippers are usually quick to note that their leader is i_heart_cameron, a House/Cameron shipper. (She's also underage, so don't wank her, no matter how much she begs for the attention.) If you are interested in joining their community, they have created some promotional videos. [2] [3]

Spoilers - Some people like spoilers. Some don't. Some feel a lj-cut is a courtesy, others feel it should be the rule. But whatever you do, don't bring up a discussion on this subject unless you have your wank shields ready.
