IMDb wank is general bad form, because:

• It's easy to get hold of and therefore cheap.
• It's fandom at its most diluted and vapid, just random strangers flaming and banning each other on some messageboard.
• It is rarely in any way actually interesting.
• Those who post it tend to be people who don't really get fandom wank.
• It pisses people off when they see it now, because they know it won't be good.
• You have to be registered to read anything on the boards.

Exceptions: Countess, The and Anne Rice
