JKR is anti-feministic

From Fandom wank wiki

June 3, 2005: Phoenixwriter posted an essay entitled "A Burning Passion - About 'feminism' and 'equality' or how a anti-'feministic' ship still can claim there is equality.."

Being a Harmonian, the gist of it was that Hermione Granger was a symbol of women's empowerment and Harry/Ginny was 'anti-feministic'. At least, this seems to be the gist. As usual, Phoenixwriter expressed herself in broken English that melted most readers' brains.

When the Daily Snitch linked to the entry, people left their comments, mostly objecting to Phoenixwriter's claim that Molly Weasley was 'not feministic' for staying at home and having seven children. Phoenixwriter proceeded to get angry at the Daily Snitch and it all ended up on Fandom Wank.

Quotes

  • "Is a mother of 7 children’s, housewife and all not feministic? No, she isn't" - Phoenixwriter [1]
  • "If you open a book and read about a big family with 7 children and a housewife, a husband who is the one who earns the money and yet this family barely comes around on top of it in a society which is very old-fashioning then you are assuming that woman, that female isn’t a perfect example of feminism or even close to be an example of the perfect equal wife to her husband. What thought is involved there? To show a family but certainly not to show the most feministic character." - ibid
  • "How nice when classism hides itself in feminism for the sole purpose of matchmaking!" - hhbarmaid [2]
