The Baby Jesus

Whenever you do anything (especially on Fandom_Wank), it makes The Baby Jesus cry. (You know, for the saviour of the world, he's kind of a wuss.)

The origin of the phrase is lost in the shrouds of time, but dates back at least as far as a 1994 episode of The Simpons, "Homer Loves Flanders". In the episode, super-Christian Ned Flanders is so desperate to get away from Homer Simpson's cloying attention that he tells a white lie about taking his sons to their grandmother's. When Rod and Todd don't understand:

“	Todd: Oh boy! Grandma! Ned: We're not goin' anywhere. Todd: But you said -- Ned: Er... sometimes to keep from hurting someone's feelings, you have to say things that aren't exactly -- Rod: Lies make baby Jesus cry.	”
