Jossed
From Fandom wank wiki
Description of fanfic that could have been set in canon when it was written, but has since been contradicted by later canon. For example, fanfic depicting Blaise Zabini as white were Jossed by the subsequent release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which established in canon that the character is black.
The term is derived from the name of Buffy the Vampire Slayer series creator Joss Whedon, since later episodes of that show notoriously contradicted a lot of fanon. (That one where Xander turned out to be two midgets in disguise was really hitting below the belt, if you ask us.)
Jossed may describe any instance in which canon retroactively invalidates fanfic, but the term is mostly used when you've been Jossed and you're being wanky about it.
Coincidentally, "joss" is pidgin Chinese for "luck".[1]
