Once an anime or manga series is licensed, the world will end. Really.

Top ten causes of wank (in order of appearance)

1. The fandom will be infected with newbies. [1] [2] [3]

2. The new audience will be too stupid to properly appreciate the brilliance of the show. [4]

3. The wrong company will license it. [5] [6]

4. A dub will come into the world. It will suck. [7] [8]

5. Even if the rest of the cast is tolerable, your favorite character will be cast wrong. [9]

6. The title/name of characters/location will be changed. [10] [11] [12] [13]

7. It will likely be edited for tv, and that will RUIN THE SHOW. [14]

8. Some episode will be shown out of order. [15]

9. Whichever channel is showing the anime will make it fail. [16]

10. Some popular reviewer will dare to criticize the show. [17] [18]
