Adobe Photoshop, or just "Photoshop", is the name of the most popular image editing software on the market. It has dozens of nifty features, including drawing and erasing tools, layers, and filters that allow you to put special effects on images; these make it possible to, for example, superimpose someone's head onto a different body or make a photo look like a sketch. An image altered in Photoshop is called a photomanip (photo manipulation) or manip for short, and the use of filters and/or effects on an image is often referred to as Photoshopping.

Photoshopping has sparked a number of notable wanks, including the most famous wank ever, CrystalWank. It's also a popular hobby of batshit insane fans who use it to produce fake pictures of their woobies naked or in drag.

Also, everybody knows that Photoshop (or a program like it) is positively required if you want to make good icons or macros. It's expensive though (not like that stops most pirates people), so if you can't afford a microwave, you might end up using MSN Paint.
