A British comedy troupe from the 70's, that has since become a geek standard. A number of quotes from their TV shows and movies can be trotted out on Fandom Wank at every opportunity.

Quotes from the episodes

• Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam... -- the origin of the internet term spam.
• Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! -- on f_w, usually altered to "nobody expects the Fannish Inquisition".

Quotes from Monty Python and the Holy Grail

• Help, help, I'm being oppressed! - From the "Constitutional Peasants" section of the movie; used whenever a wanker claims oppression, and often followed up with other quotes from that particular segment.
• What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow? -- from "The Bridge of Death", used whenever someone uses some other Monty Python joke. The proper response is "What do you mean, an African or a European swallow?", which may be abbreviated as "African or European".

(For future reference, the airspeed velocity of an unladen European swallow is 11 meters per second, or about 24 miles per hour. Tests have not been done on African swallows nor on any kind of swallow with a coconut in tow.)
