No, seriously, what the hell is it?

Pokemon started as a Nintendo video game, and spawned several internationally successful anime, manga, and trading card game series. Why so popular? Well, it's about kids who like to play with their balls. Pokeballs, that is. That have animals called Pokemon ("pocket monsters") inside them. The kids toss their balls around and the animals come out and fight each other.

(ahem) Yes, well... on with the wanks!

• An episode of the anime featured a monster attack with a 5-second long sequence of flashing lights, which induced seizures in a few of the Japanese kids watching. This incident predates Fandom Wank, but can't not be mentioned.
