Remus Lupin is a werewolf. Sirius Black can transform into a dog. Obviously, the perfect name for Harry Potter fandom to use to label the faithful fans of the slash pairing featuring Remus Lupin and Sirius Black is... puppyshippers.
Some overly-sensitive Sirius/Remus shippers consider the term "puppyshippers" denigrating due to its implication of bestiality, and prefer the ship name Wolfstar. (Because, you see, "Wolfstar" doesn't refer to animals at all, and has never ever been used as a screen name by 15,000 various furries, no, not ever!)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince hit the puppyshippers hard. No more could they cherish the illusion that their pairing was canon, for Remus Lupin was shown to be dating Nymphadora Tonks. Communities sprang up in protest.
Oddly, the fact that Sirius Black died in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix did not pose a similar problem.
