Role Playing Game

Role playing games, or RPGs, are games where people pretend to be fictional characters (or even fictionalized real people) for their own amusement. Eventually, discussions about plot decisions end in wank.
In real life, such games can either be played on paper and/or boards (e.g. Dungeons & Dragons), or physically acted out (Live-Action RPGs, aka LARPs, such as Vampire: The Masquerade, or more action-orientated games such as Solar or Legynds. The latter type is arguably better, because if you do not like someone, you are encouraged to hit them with large, padded sticks). On journaling systems like LiveJournal, JournalFen, and GreatestJournal, each character has a journal and there's generally a centralized community.
