Slashdot bills itself as a website with "News for Nerds. Stuff That Matters". However, it is better known for massive threads about the philosophical significance of the words "First Post!" and how exactly one could get Natalie Portman naked, petrified, and covered in hot grits.

In between the GNAA first posts, however, there is some premium, grade A wank. Usually, it takes the form of flamewars about text editors, graphical user interfaces, and occasionally even patent law. Generally, it's good for a laugh, until you click a link to goatse.
