The source of this wisdom comes from Fanfic=Rape, in which a wanker emphasized her points (including the assertion that fanfic is evil but child abuse is perfectly acceptable) with big, bold, sparkly text.

Used by iczer6 in But what are your thoughts on yaoi?, for hilarious results. Also very common while mocking the Twilight fandom due to the constant dazzling and sparkling of the main character of the series.
