or: Assorted reactions to the deletion of Fandom Wank On LiveJournal
Most likely these came off a random stack of friendslist posts, I really couldn't tell you. Fragments of comments from January 13th 2003 and beyond.

FW is a fandom institution
Indeed. Bye, bye fandom_wank. Meh. Y'know, I don't know what it is, but fandom doesn't sustain critical institutions well. Like, okay. I do not think there is anything inherently bad in the fandom_wanks and the Bad Buffys of the world. Not every story is a beautiful and unique snowflake, not every learned and overdetermined discussion deserves respect. And as we all make fun of others, there are worse things than having institutions that give us public shame. It might even help us a little, as we have to think a little harder about our Really Deep Thoughts.
LIES!
Apparently we were encouraging harrassment and invading privacy.
See, I can totally understand that, though. It was our own fault for using our mad hacker skillz to access people's private and friends-only entries and spread them all over LJ with a note on them encouraging everyone to mailbomb the hapless hackee.
Oh, wait.
Slogans aren't so true?
Wanka A: Exactly. Maybe all those graphics could be redone-- Fandom Is Fucking Funny Except When You Laugh At Me Or My Friends You Big Mean Insecure Beeyotches And I'm Telling Mom? Or is that too unwieldy?
Wanka B: F.I.F.F.E.W.Y.L.A.M.O.M.F.Y.B.M.I.B.A.I.T.M. No, it just rolls off the tongue.
phosfate comments:
What. The. Fuck. I come on tonight to find out that they've deleted IWank and Dara's *personal* journal???
Has anyone involved ever received any sort of, y'know, REASON from LJ?
Glad to see you all, by the way.
Rage rage rage.

(rage!)
A one-act play on the topic of the deletion of Dara's journal:
Wanka A: Bethany (armistice) and I were talking about this, and she thinks it's more likely because of the statement you made in the community info about not stopping until you were out of lj invite codes.
Wanka B: I think between all of us, we've got quite a lot of invite codes. That would keep 'em hopping.
Wanka C: Nah, they'd just get annoyed and ban everyone who joined the communities.
Tune in next week, in which we learn that Livejournal is a police state.
If they snark do we not whine?
For wanking amusement, read the logs of the fandom_wank Y! community, for they are complaining about not being allowed to complain about people complaining.
Delicious.
No one likes LJ Abuse
The other possibility being that LJ Abuse is just as horrendously stupid as they appear, I'm guessing?
...
Now I can't decide. MORAL DILEMMA. Help me.
