Real slashes screw up the wiki, so I've added this, which is actually a division symbol. I may be being silly-obsessive to no point. If you think so, let me know and I'll kill it. --Mindset 20:33, 11 April 2007 (BST)
- Well, realistically, how is anyone going to find or use the redirect? It's not going to be an easy wikilink from the typical / typed in text, and typing / into the search box isn't going to bring it up. It's just a redirect, so it's not exactly killing us, but still. -- Avocado 21:19, 11 April 2007 (BST)
- Yeah, I agree. Really, I was just trying to put some form of / in the Lingo category, but it's sort of useless otherwise. Searching for / works on wikipedia, but not here... possibly due to how our articles are index.php/yaddayadda while theirs are wiki/yaddayadda. Or it's a wikimedia version thing. Either way, it doesn't work, and I should stop being so perfectionist about it. --Mindset 05:54, 12 April 2007 (BST)
- This is going to sound really silly, and I apologize in advance for suggesting it, but I think this suggestion might appeal to our irreverence. In a way, of course. How about combining the articles on x and /, explaining the slightly different way that they're used, and call it "Multiplication and Division Symbols"? It might get some attention from the "Huh?" crowd, / gets its due, and it brings the funny. Like I said, just a stupid suggestion, and please ignore it at your leisure. --TheSpie 08:46, 12 April 2007 (BST)
