I remember seeing a post verifying that Scotch's IP address matched the grudgy anons in the original CC post-Laptopgate wank (surprise to no one, and why I've added the wank), but I don't remember where I saw that. I tried FWGH, but nothing. -- Avocado 22:00, 25 May 2006 (BST)

This is going to sound strange to bring this up after all this time, and I may be a little too conspiracy-minded, but I'm seeing dots here that may or may not be connected. I'm just wondering if anyone else has thought along these lines:
1) According to Charlotte Lennox, this was a quiet period for Msscribe, after CharityWank and before IconWank. That gap is pretty strange for the attention whore we know Scribbles to be. Charlotte essentially blows it off as Scribbles licking her wounds after CharityWank.
2) Scotch's first two appearances, late April and early May 2005, coincide with Scribbles' ninth month of pregnancy with her second daughter, when, presumably, Scribbles would have time to post if she's taking it easy. She gave birth later in May. Scotch isn't heard from after that until October, the ideal length for a "pregnancy leave".
3) Scotch goes after CC and her crew and makes an obnoxious bitch of herself. Typical Scribbles MO, using an obnoxious sockpuppet as a way to garner sympathy for her friends. Scotch's charges of misused money during Laptopgate offered CC and Heidi the perfect chance to defend themselves.
4) Scotch's racism is also standard Scribbles MO. We know she did it with pottersginny and would go back to it after this with danitoba47 during IconWank.
5) Scotch claims she's mixed-race. Scribbles is mixed-race, as we all know from pottersginny's "zebra" comment, and we know how much Scribbles loves flaunting this fact.
6) Scribbles hadn't fully learned her lesson about matching IPs at this point. She got caught as the anonymice during CharityWank and would get caught the same way during IconWank. We all know that Scribbles tended to get more sloppy as time went on. So, Scotch and NealBoortzMouse having matching IPs would be no surprise.
7) Scotch's wanks happened at a point during the time when the IP evidence from Gryffindor Tower would have been forgotten by most, so Sep would have had no motivation to look at Scotch's/NealBoortzMouse's IPs and matched them to those.
I'm not making a claim about anything here. I'm just saying that this might be something to look at for the people who are more expert on this subject than I am.--TheSpie 15:34, 5 May 2007 (BST)
- That's an interesting thought! :D And you know, when I last edited this article, I got to wondering this myself. But I was able to acquire the IP address of Scotch and its anon-self, and darn if it didn't work out to a North Carolina location, not at all the Delaware of Ms. Scribe. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it seems there's a host of batshit sockpuppeteers in Harry Potter fandom. :/

- Okay, same reminder I give to people who get a little too carried away with putting every detail of their fandom here: This is a fandom_wank wiki, not a Msscribe wiki. If you want a Msscribe wiki, feel free to get together with Charlotte Lennox and make one. For example, there's no need for a page for every last one of Msscribe's sockpuppets.
