Well, historically, yes. In recent years, not really. Emacs vs. vi is one of the historic Flamewars. I suspect it's mostly on here to put Aja vs. Ivyblossom and Harmony vs. OBHWF into the proper historic context. Not everything the wiki thinks is wanted may really be so. I'd suggest moving the Emacs and the Vi to one Emacs vs Vi article, if at all -- you could just link the names to their Wikipedia articles. Because, um... this article is bigtime tl;dr, I'm afraid. Maybe if there'd been *some* kind of otf_wank recently... --Mindset 08:20, 30 November 2005 (GMT)

I have no opinion one way or the other. I just think that, if it stays, the context and wank-factor should be explicated more thoroughly. Helps me know why I should be amused. Which is important in this serious business we call the wiki...:-) -- Wankprophet
