Template talk:Image
From Fandom wank wiki
Basic format is:
{{image|url|caption|width=#|float=right/left}}
Other arrangements of the options will work fine, and you can even leave out everything except the image url.
Example #1

{{image|http://wiki.fandomwank.com/skins/common/images/fw_logo.png|Icon!|width=120|float=right}}
will produce a bordered image on the right with a caption.
I use width=120 because it produces a little padding around the 100x100 icon - I haven't figured out how to make it pad based on the actual image width, yet.
Example #2

{{image|http://wiki.fandomwank.com/skins/common/images/fw_logo.png|width=120|float=left|}}
will produce a bordered image on the left without a caption. Note the pipe at the end - it's required for a blank caption.
Example #3
{{image|http://wiki.fandomwank.com/skins/common/images/fw_logo.png|Fandom Wank Icon}}
will produce a bordered image, as wide as the page, with a caption:

This works well for large images.
Comments
That's about it. I'd like to see if it's possible to replicate more of the wiki image style, but unfortunately I don't think thumbnail-links to full-sized images can work with wiki HTML.
Note: Be careful if you're hotlinking - either get permission from the image host, or host it yourself.
And of course, I don't really expect anyone to use this template much, but I thought it would be a cool shortcut. Remember, The Wiki is Serious Business. --Mindset 23:10, 8 December 2005 (GMT)
