The Fiery Death of Quick Quote
From Fandom wank wiki
Once upon a time...
...there was Quick Quote, a Harry Potter fandom newsletter founded by little_needle. Then little_needle tired of Quick Quote, and recruited editors. Those editors foolishly tired of the stylish pink-on-pink format, and altered it.
Then there were new editors, and all went swimmingly with the eldest of the LiveJournal Harry Potter newsletters.
Until that day when it suddenly closed.
But why?
It was an amicable closure, of course. All the editors said so. (And they should have known, shouldn't they?) In fact, they were so friendly that they left en masse and promoted their new fandom newsletter, Hogwarts Today, in their journals.
Some pointed to the series of surveys the editors had run in Quick Quote as a clear sign of prior planning to start a new newsletter. The editors claimed they were just attempting to get little_needle to approve minor format changes and wanted to use the force of user comments to persuade her. They further claimed to have received complaints and suggestions from readers about changes in format... but little_needle just wouldn't see reason.
Daily Snitch and Quick Quote all over again?
Besides, the fact that the editors rushed out to form a new newsletter together proved that they all got along with each other.
