Community on JournalFen dedicated to mocking delusional shippers, but mostly focusing on Harmonians. The community's name tells Harry Potter shippers to STFU in a language they'll understand.

Like Fandom Wank, The HMS STFU originated on LiveJournal. Also like FW, it was TOSed, this time when the much-mocked Caina complained to LJ Abuse. It can now be found here.

Recently, the community has been dedicated to mocking badfics, often in MST form. (Guess targeting Harmonians gets boring after a while...) Their specialty is the epic saga of Rose Potter, an AU where Harry is a girl Druid who sleeps with Cedric Diggory. (In Memories)

Origins

Das_Mervin mentioned on Deleterius that it might be interesting if there were an HMS STFU to go along with all the other ships out there. The purpose: to tell crazy shippers - those who complain that HBP ruined characters and come up with theories about why H/G and R/Hr (OBHWF) aren't really the final pairings - to STFU. The idea was met with enthusiasm, and on August 19th, 2005, The HMS STFU was created.

Caina was the guest of honor, with her rewritten version of HBP on center stage. Soon thereafter, there was a kerfuffle with Caina, and she had the comm ToS'd for harassment. There was much lamentation, and then Tviokh recreated it on JF. This was unfortunately followed by a spate of journal suspensions due to the number of underage users who had followed the comm.

Mods

(Or Captains.) There are officially at least four maintainers of the community, (Das_Mervin, Baranduyn, Esclaramonde, Tviokh ...) but nobody except Das_Mervin does any moderating, mostly because it's too much fun poking the Harmonians or trolls that come along. And despite the number of mods, nobody has managed to make the color scheme readable.
