In any given segment of the population, there's always a certain percentage who think that their stupid but fervent opinions somehow become less stupid because they fervently exercise their right to free speech.

This is know as Constitutional Wankery.

The First Corollary to WP's Law of Constitutional Wankery: Furthermore,the stupider the opinion is, the more likely it is that the wanker will be unable to refrain from actually specifically invoking the "Free Speech Clause."
