Welcome to Fandom Wank

We're not a fanfic discussion community. We're a wank discussion community. When people get on their high horses, tinfoil hats glinting in the sun, and proceed to rant about How Life Must Be From Now On, we're there to howl and throw tomatoes. When people take up arms against the evil that is yaoi/anti-yaoi/slash/anti-slash, we're there to take videos and make MST tapes of them. When people declare that celebrities are persecuting them by refusing to admit that they are shagging their castmates, we're there with an orchestra of the world's smallest violins. And when authors, fannish or professional, react to criticism by screaming, "It doesn't matter! It's only fiction! You're mean and you've never gotten laid in your life! I'm never writing again!", we are there to applaud their exit from the literary world.

(In case you were wondering, the last doesn't apply only to Inugrrrl. We see it a couple of dozen times a year. Laurell K. Hamilton did it best, IMHO, but Anne Rice came in an oh-so-close second. If Inugrrrl wants to stand with the true greats, she's going to have to claim that she's channeling Sesshomaru. Sad, but true; the world of Internet flipouts is competitive.)

In short, Inugrrrl's fic doesn't matter at all. Some of us are sporking it, sure, but that's just because it's there. What really entertains us is Inugrrrl's approach to criticism.

...And your response to criticism of Inugrrrl. I like that a lot! Sure, you fell into the usual trap of assuming that we're here to discuss fics, and you haven't yet come up with any interesting points yet because of that. But your indignation is strong, and your posts are long, and your horse is high. Your wank-fu is strong, my young Inuyasha fangirl. I have high hopes for you.
