So, in the second-to-last episode of the 2008 season of Doctor Who, there were more than the usual amount of cliffhangers. Including the Doctor's potential regeneration -- OMGWTFBBQ!!! Nobody had heard the actor was leaving -- how could this be?!?!?!!!!

The fandom, as usual, began wanking from the moment the episode ended. Four wank reports were posted to Fandom Wank within a week, oh noes... could this mean another Potterdammerung? Did FW need a new cornfield?

And the final episode of the series hadn't even been broadcast yet! Who knew what sort of incredible revelations would be at hand? Surely nothing like this had ever been seen before!!!

Fortunately, Fandom Wank knew exactly what to do: RED ALERT!!! Preparations were made. Supplies were stocked. Recipes were traded. Icons of John Barrowman in his underwear were put on standby. As the Four Horsemen saddled up, the no-doubt incredible future event was named: Whomageddon.[1]
